Cats the Musical, or The Two Hours of My Life I Can't Get Back

I saw a performance of Cats the Musical the other night. I understand that it is very popular and one of the longest running shows on Broadway. There’s just one thing I must know; why? The performance itself wasn’t bad, in fact the production quality was considerably high. It’s the story that’s all out of whack. All it seems to be to me is a series of pointless character vignettes that don’t move the already ridiculous plot further. I apologize to anyone who enjoys this show, I just don’t get it.
